What is Leasehold Reform?
Leasehold reform refers to the package of legislation modernising long residential leases in England and Wales. The Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022 banned new ground rents above a peppercorn; the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024 extended lease-extension rights and abolished marriage value.
