Solar Panel ROI Calculator — UK 2025

Estimate annual generation, self-consumption savings, Smart Export Guarantee income, payback period, 25-year return and CO₂ saved for any UK solar installation.

Solar Panel ROI Calculator

Based on region-specific solar yield, self-consumption savings and Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) income

1kWp ≈ 2–3 panels. Typical home: 3–6 kWp. Commercial: 10–100 kWp

ECO4 & GBIS for eligible households

The ECO4 scheme and Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) provide grants for energy efficiency (insulation, heating) for low-income or fuel-poor households — not solar panels directly. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers up to £7,500 for heat pumps. VAT on residential solar is 0% until April 2027.

Assumes 30% self-consumption of generated energy. Remaining 70% exported at SEG rate. Panel lifetime 25 years with no degradation modelling.
